Home Warranty Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the warranty last?

After your 1-year manufacturer warranty expires, the new warranty program kicks in. Enjoy 10 total years of structural coverage and 7 years of appliance coverage with your Home Warranty.

Do you offer a “Lifetime Warranty”?

Don’t be fooled by the “Lifetime Warranty” programs you see – they don’t cover structural repairs and often have a hefty annual contract fee. With our program, you can keep your warranty for the full “lifetime” of your home. Simply renew your contract to keep it in effect!

Who do I contact for claims?

CornerStone United, Inc., located in Hickory, North Carolina, is the administrator of the HomeCarePlus warranty program. They can be reached at (866) 405-3242. Please have your Warranty Contract Number available.

Can my Service Contact be transferred to a new owner?

The HomeCarePlus warranty is fully transferrable for an unlimited number of times. There is a $50 transfer fee and proof of maintenance may be required. All transfers must occur within 30 days of home sale. The warranty is not transferrable to Dealers, Rental Agencies, or Consignment Sales.

Who does the service repairs?

The homeowner can contact a licensed repair facility of their choice. Some dealers may elect to do the repairs themselves and receive reimbursement of the repair for labor and parts. If a dealer does not do repair work, the customer can contact any local licensed company.
